What is the difference between an MVNO, an MVNE and an MVNA?+
An MVNO sells mobile service to end customers under its own brand without owning spectrum or radio network. An MVNE provides the platform (BSS/OSS, SIM management, interconnect and operations) that one or many MVNOs run on. An MVNA buys wholesale capacity from a host operator in bulk and re-wholesales it to several smaller MVNOs, usually on an MVNE platform. Avante supplies the BSS/OSS for all three roles.
Does Avante act as an MVNE or provide the network?+
No. Avante is a BSS/OSS vendor. We supply and operate the platform; the host operator provides coverage, and network elements your model needs (packet core, HLR/HSS, eSIM platform) come from the host or from our partners, integrated by us. The subscriber data, the product logic and the margin stay with you.
How long does it take to launch an MVNO on Avante?+
A Medium MVNO (own BSS, own commercial logic) takes four to six months from the point the host agreement and the legal framework are confirmed. Platform readiness on its own is about three months; a Full MVNO with its own core elements takes eight to ten. These are planning assumptions from delivered projects, not guaranteed dates. Integrations and host schedules set the pace.
Can we start as a Medium MVNO and become a Full MVNO later?+
Yes, and without migrating subscribers twice. Medium and Full run on the same Avante BSS; moving up adds network elements and interfaces, not a new platform. A delivered reference moved from Medium to Full and to a multi-host setup on the same stack.
Which MVNO models does the platform support?+
All of them: reseller and light, medium, full, and multi-tenant MVNE and MVNA operation. A reseller or light model rarely needs its own BSS, and we say so. Our customers are the operators that want to own product, data and margin, and the enablers that host them.
Where is the platform deployed?+
On your premises or in a data centre you approve, in a private cloud, or as a managed service. Government and banking customers typically run inside their own perimeter; enterprise launches have used an OPEX-based model.
Which markets does Avante work in?+
Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, with delivered projects in the EU, South Africa and Kazakhstan among others. Number portability, KYC and regulatory reporting are configured per market.
What do we get from the readiness call?+
Thirty minutes with a team behind 21 BSS and MVNO implementations, and three outputs: the host-side assumptions to validate first, where BSS, OCS and CRM responsibility starts and stops, and a minimum MVP scope for go-live.
